Planters Candied Walnuts

  • Prep Time: 10 Minutes (Total Time: 35 Minutes)
  • Serving Size: 10
  • 1 qt. (4 cups) Water
  • 1 pkg. (10 oz.) PLANTERS Walnuts
  • 3/4 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tablespoon Ground Nutmeg
  • PREHEAT oven to 300°F. Cover bottom of 15x10x1-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Bring water to boil in large saucepan. Add walnuts; stir. Boil 2 min. Meanwhile, mix sugar, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg in large bowl; set aside.

    DRAIN walnuts well. Add to sugar mixture; toss to coat. Spread into prepared pan.

    BAKE 20 min., stirring after 10 min. Cool completely. Store in airtight container at room temperature.

    Sprinkle over a side-dish salad made with mixed baby greens tossed with sliced red onions, dried cranberries, drained canned mandarin orange segments and KRAFT Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing.
